ABOUT US

Frank Chambers

After Frank graduated with his MBA from Mississippi State in 1970, he made his move into the lumber and building materials industries. He has a diverse background that includes operations, sales and marketing, and finance.

During his first executive position, Frank, the then Senior Vice President of Operations for Wickes Lumber, managed 225 lumber yards and guided the company through its transition from a dual yard approach to a contractor-focused format. He then went on to serve as Vice President of Mergers and Acquisitions for the Pelican Company and concluded his corporate career as part of the executive team building the ProBuild organization where he retired as President of the Southeast Region in 2010.

In 2001, Frank and Ken Kuehn started their own company and named it, CK Solutions. Since then they’ve been involved in many facets of executive recruiting, sales training, and business consulting for many larger companies in the LBM industry.

Frank currently resides in Franklin, Tennessee and is passionate about helping businesses in the lumber building materials industry succeed.

Ken Kuehn

Ken’s background is built on 40 years of industry experience and an extensive list of contacts throughout the building materials industry. After college, he spent 23 years with Wickes Lumber, holding positions such as District Vice President and Vice President of Sales and Marketing.

In 2001, Ken and Frank launched CK Solutions to provide executive recruiting and sales training to the building materials industry. In 2004, Ken was recuited by Huttig Building Products as Vice President of National Accounts (a position that later expanded to include both marketing and project management), and he helped build the national account base and solidify key vendor programs.

Ken’s last corporate stop was with Illinois Tool Works, where he became Vice President of North American Sales for ITW Building Components Group, a leader in the wood components industry in 2007.

The desire for greater independence and less traveltime finally culminated for Ken in 2013, when he decided to leave ITW BCG to rejoin Frank at CK Solutions. Ken now resides in Coppell, TX, a suburb of Dallas.
